POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the team managers, the Coordinator will be the key liaison for administrative tasks, as outlined below, with an opportunity to grow into a traditional junior analyst role depending on performance level and business needs. We are seeking a candidate that is trustworthy, dependable, and detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing responses and documentation for financial reporting, audit, and internal controls
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis, including “new initiatives”
  • Note taking during weekly investment team meetings
  • Participation in turnover preparation for new acquisitions
  • Gathering and documenting transaction comparables on a quarterly basis, or as needed, as well as other relevant research and market data
  • Filing closing books and associated transaction documents in a timely manner, in accordance with the REIT’s document retention procedures
  • Participation in drafting of reports (Board Reports, Investment Committee Reports, Due Diligence Reports, research reports, etc.)
  • Participating, where needed, in the due diligence process (both acquisitions and dispositions), for example:
    1. Preparation and review of data rooms, and gathering additional project documents
    2. Preparation of legal documentation for payments
    3. Participation in the estoppel process
    4. Arranging documents for signing
    5. Providing oversight on post-closing obligations to completion
    6. Participating in financial modelling (depends on demonstrated level of experience and business needs)
  • Maintaining team’s filing system in an orderly and up-to-date manner
  • Review of inbound and outbound CA’s and broker listing agreements
  • Other duties / special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree
  • Understanding of basic mathematics and ability to grasp basic financial concepts
  • Interest in real estate
  • Trustworthy, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
