Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day marketing of the Centre including oversight of Shopper Services and all Tanger-related programming. The role will positively contribute to Centre NOI Growth via the development of traffic driving programming, and subsequently securing on-site activations, sponsorship and advertising opportunities resulting in a greater overall customer experience for shoppers and tenants alike.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plan, events, and budget.
  • Prepare, monitor and maintain marketing budget, including assisting with financial reporting pertaining to variances, sales analysis and more.
  • Implement promotions, which attract customers to the Centre and maximize income potential.
  • Track progress and evaluate results of programs to determine effectiveness.
  • Manage Shopper Services including all aspects of Tanger Outlets programs: Gift Cards, TangerClub, Personal Shopper, Best Price Promise, and Bus Groups.
  • Recruit, hire and oversee Shopper Services & Customer Service Representatives.
  • Liaise with shopping Centre staff, tenants, customers, and suppliers.
  • Liaise with area businesses, events, tourist attractions, hotels and local chamber offices to encourage shopping visits.
  • Assist in the design, content and creation of promotional materials.
  • Work with media agency to develop targeted advertising/media plan.
  • Manage internal and external promotional signage including billboards and digital directories.
  • Maintain and update property website, Facebook, Instagram and external website listings.
  • Actively create and sell media and sponsorship opportunities in order to achieve financial sales goals of the property.
  • Perform accounting duties for marketing programs inclusive of payables, receivables, income statements and budget reconciliations.
  • Cultivate strong tenant relations, work with General Manager to host quarterly meetings, communicate via newsletter and provide tenants with support needed to be successful
  • Assist General Manager, Assistant Property Manager, & RVP Marketing as required.
  • Other duties / projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of University/College Diploma or relevant Certificate Program
  • Minimum 4 years previous relevant experience in marketing, retail, or sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to successfully manage people
  • Up-to-date with innovative and current marketing trends
  • Intermediate to advances skills in Microsoft suite and social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Canva, etc.
  • Strong focus on delivering results and providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
