Summary

What is The Well?

The Well is a unique and innovative joint venture between Allied and Riocan.

Located at Spadina and Front, The Well brings together three million square feet of retail, office, and residential space constructed over 7.7 acres. Through this, The Well sets the stage for meaningful experiences that draw people from down the street and across the globe to eat, shop, work, live and play in Toronto.

As this is a newly constructed property, we are building a team with the same level of excellence in mind. The team at The Well will be dynamic, nimble, and agile. It will be focused on new initiatives, innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. If this sounds like you, we welcome your application.

Who are you?

We are building upon our achievements, and the future is exciting. How can we be so sure? We have people like you—engaged, risk-takers who consistently deliver their best.

Throughout your career, you have stood out for your pursuit of excellence. You are self-motivated, take ownership, and lead by example. In doing so, you elevate your team and collaborate towards your collective goals.

Above all, you are excited by our mission and the contribution we make to improve cities and communities.

What will you do?

  • Support the temporary leasing of the retail common areas, parking area and Retail Merchandising Units.
  • Generate ancillary revenue through specialty leasing activities related to digital and static mall media, telecom license agreements, mall activations, sponsorships, partnerships and movie and media productions.
  • Identify start-up entrepreneurs and incubate them within a specialty leasing program.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and execute binding license agreements with temporary tenants.
  • Manage the specialty leasing database, collection of rent, coordination of move-in, set-up and move-out.
  • Serve as first point of contact with temporary tenants.
  • Ensure that visual merchandising of programs is of the highest level.
  • Report on critical metrics related to the specialty leasing (e.g., sales reporting, variance reports, budgeting, forecasting).
  • Manage the retail and office storage leasing and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Experience team on implementing sponsorship and experiential in-line activations.

What are we looking for?

  • At least years' shopping centre specialty leasing experience.
  • Prior temporary leasing and promotion experience is strongly preferred.
  • A great communicator who must be able to work and communicate with a variety of diversified cultures and business owners.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with no supervision.
  • Ability to generate new sales and revenue strategies.
  • Present a first-class vision for the property to existing and prospective tenants.
  • Comfortable with cold-calling and networking within the business community.
  • Aptitude for figures, analysis, and budget preparation.
  • Understanding of Property Management is an asset.
