POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards this position is responsible for the implementation, and administration of comprehensive total rewards strategies that align employee rewards with results that support RioCan’s business objectives. This includes ensuring successful delivery of broad based and executive compensation strategies and incentives, benefit wellness, and pension programs, and other reward programs that will enable RioCan to attract, reward, and retain top talent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct and participate in compensation surveys and analyze survey data results.
- Organize all benchmark activities for compensation programs (salary ranges) and assist in all compensation packages to recommend new hires and promotion and ensure competitiveness.
- Assist with the annual salary review process and bonus payout calculation, including leasing target calculations.
- Conduct job analysis and evaluation, salary administration, and obtain all necessary information to prepare compensation proposals, budgets, and reports.
- Help to implement new incentive programs, prepare accurate bonus accruals, and perform calculation on all annual incentive bonuses.
- Administrate company executive compensation programs, including executive salary surveys, annual (bonus) and long-term incentive programs.
- Assist in preparing annual Management Information Circular.
- Assist in incentive plan design (collect data about market compensation policies and best practices) and implement new incentive programs.
- Manage and provide expertise in equity plan maintenance programs.
- Create HR Policies as required.
- Manage and track perquisite programs.
- Educate employees on their total rewards.
- Responsible for reporting HR analytics as required.
- Monitor legislative compliance on policies and procedures.
- Oversee execution of related projects.
- Other duties and projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant university degree or college diploma.
- 5+ years previous relevant experience.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is an asset.
- Certified Benefits designation (CEBS) is an asset.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business periodicals, technical procedures, and government legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent accuracy.
- Proven track record of successfully completing challenging projects within strict deadlines
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Long term incentive programs (i.e., Performance Equity Units and Restricted Equity Units) is an asset.
- Experience with Shareworks administration is an asset.
- Experience using an HRIS system.
