POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Director, Business Solutions and Data Services, the SharePoint and Power Platform Specialist will continuously evaluate business needs, and design, develop, streamline and automate processes. The Specialist will work across all business departments, source systems owners and support vendors to ensure that current applications meet the service levels. This includes evaluating existing solutions, and coming up with recommendations and migration plan based on company requirements and business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate strong verbal and listening skills to liaise with local stakeholders and understand and improve their technology experience;
- Conducts business analysis at varying levels of projects and phases of project to assess clients' business problems or opportunities; document the business requirements that makes sense to both Business and IT;
- Perform day-to-day tracking, reporting, and facilitation of issue resolution and risks for all M365 Azure, SharePoint and Power Platform applications;
- Ensure defined Change Management Process is followed for any change from agreed upon scope, schedule, or quality;
- Design, Develop and implement SharePoint, M365 Azure and Power Platform applications or lead these initiatives with vendor partners;
- Continue to improve development and design techniques related to SharePoint Framework (SPFx), M365 Azure tools and Power Platform tools;
- Create test strategies and test plans to ensure application accuracy and completeness;
- Assist project leads with project issues and risk, milestone tracking, work coordination, etc;
- Teamwork – A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related degree.
- Minimum of 10 years SharePoint, Web Application Solution Design experience in a multi-platform IT environment.
- Expert in SharePoint 2013, 2016 or 2019 and SharePoint Online - architecture, security, permissions, customization and Out of the Box Features.
- Expert in PowerShell, Azure Cloud technologies Run Book, App Logic, Power Automate, Power Apps.
- Strong programming: C#, Visual Basic or Java, Web UI development (JavaScript, Jquery, CSS, HTML, Angular, React), SQL and relational databases.
- Experience in Power BI..
- Experience in API/Web service development and testing skills.
- Experience in vendor management and fostering effective partnerships with vendors.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to determine client needs and explain technical concepts to non-technical and technical audiences.
