Asset Manager
Location: Toronto, ON

Reporting to the SVP, Asset Management, the position is responsible for managing a portfolio of assets that is identified by geographic location and/or joint venture partner as well as control risk within the portfolio, and provide details to management, internally and externally.


                    Maintain a portfolio of properties including creation of annual budgets & analysis of monthly financial statements.

                    Reforecast budgets and cash flows on bi-weekly basis.

                    Provide support to partners including creation of monthly reporting packages, quarterly statistics and lease approval packages.

                    Travel to and conduct inspections of the assets within the portfolio.

                    Collaborate with the SVP, Asset Management and other members of the group with the everyday functions required to manage the overall RioCan portfolio.

                    Provide pre-budget and post-budget support to the Leasing department.

                    Perform financial analysis.

                    Provide statistics and reports from various departments.

                    Other duties / projects as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements

·         Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance

·         A minimum of 5 years working experience in commercial real estate with focus on enclosed malls 

·         Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

·         Knowledge of JD Edwards and Argus

·         Strong accounting skills with knowledge of IFRS accounting

·         Excellent written & verbal communication skills
